Martyn’s Law – Enhancing Public Safety with Posynergi

Martyn’s Law, officially known as the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill, is a proposed UK legislation designed to improve public safety by ensuring better preparedness and security at public venues. It is named in memory of Martyn Hett, one of the 22 victims of the Manchester Arena attack in 2017.

At Posynergi, we fully support the principles behind Martyn’s Law and are proud to offer solutions that help businesses and organisations meet its upcoming requirements.

What is Martyn’s Law?

Martyn’s Law will place a legal duty on those responsible for certain public locations to take proportionate steps to protect the public from terrorist threats. This includes:

– Risk assessments of the venue
– Security planning and training
– Having a clear emergency action plan
– Improving communication during critical incidents

The aim is simple: to save lives through preparedness and fast, coordinated response.
